Abstract Self Portrait

For this abstract self-portrait assignment, I created a collaged image from found patterns and magazine clippings, and a blown-up reproduction of the collage using gouache. Through the composition, I wanted to visualize both my systematic and expressive ways of thinking, and how these sides of myself compliment and contrast each other.
